Is a Groove Percussion PVT16 a good drum set for a beginner?Because my friend needs a good,but cheap drum set,and this 1 is about 0.And it comes with a pair of 14" hi-hats,1 16" crash/ride cymbal,all hardware,throne,and 3 cast cymbals.The kick drum is 16" x22",the toms are 12" & 13",the floor tom is 16" by 16",and the snare is 5.5" x14".It includes double braced hardware,custom spurs,and new modern style lugs.Im not much of a drummer,but do you think its a good deal?Thanx so much! =D

im looking for a good cheap drum set that is good i don’t need much just like a snare two-3 toms a base a high hat a crash/2 crash and 1/2 rides, but it needs to be good, used or new, and like 800 bucks or less, just if you know the name of a good brand or are selling some or something.

I’m not beginner when it comes to drums. Ive been taking lessons for about 8 years. I’m in a band. And i have a Yamaha set including (hi-hat, crash, 2 upper toms, a floor tom, a base drum, and a snare) It cost about 600$ i think. I also have a newer crash and a splash (why do I even have one?). Its a decent set but I was looking to purchase a new one. I dont want any cheap sets or begginer ones. What are the names of some top of the line kits. I dont mean like 5000$ kits but something good. Something nearing proffesional grade that is pretty damn good but not the best.

While searching for electronic drum videos here I noticed that there wasn’t any for the SDSV. A couple have turned up, but this is the first one to actually explain the sounds……..

I know that Star-caster by Fender drums were not good. But my dad decided to be cheap and buy me that set when i was beginning. The cymbals broke and my heads dented. I never took lessons so i don’t know how to tune drums, but i tried tuning them and still they were GAY. I want to know if there’s ANY POSSIBLE WAY to make my drums sound better, WITHOUT spending money.

(Read this):
First of all, the toms are quiet, cannot be heard over the snare, and they sound like your slapping plastic when their tuned. The bass, it sounds like slapping plastic also and its tuned. The snare is okay. What really bothers me is the bass and toms. Their a pain in the rear end, A LOT. Plus, I have studio rings. What can i do to make my toms and bass louder and sound better without spending money?

im looking to upgrade my drum set. my current one sucks… hard. im 13 and am looking for a cheap good quality drum set. i have cymbals and a throne. i will be getting little (no?) help from my parents. ill probably wait till i get a job but im just wondering if you have any suggestions. i play punk/alternative. (e.g. rise against, millencolin, +44 and more) i also like to play a little ska and jazz. also whats a good cheap snare. thanks guys.

Ok, i have been playing on a practice pad for a while but now i think i want a full-set but i am not allowed to have an acoustic drum set due to my small house and my mom will get mad and i wont be able to play so my dad says i have to get an electric drum set. Dont leave when i say this even if you have a different taste of music but i am into hardcore. So i would like to build a high end electric drum set but i will have to do this in pieces due to my 14 year old brain i will obviously need to start with something good but cheap i would like to start out with a snare, high hat, double bass pedal, and a basic crash now please dont go crazy and look for a perfect one to fit this, but i have a feeling if i get something to complicated i wont understand, not read the directions and damage something but i would like to be able to set things to make different sounds and set different drums to be different types of drums so if you could take the time try to help me out because i can only find fullsets.

I’m wanting to buy a drum set but I’m not wanting to pay that much. A friend has an old set he is wanting to get rid of but needs new heads. Would it be better to just buy a new one or buy good heads for the old drum set? If you could tell me a little about cymbals too, it would be great.
Also if you could give like an average of how much it would be to re-head the whole set (bass drum, toms, snare)

I am looking for a drum set. I don’t need anything amazing, just some medium to high quality drums. I would like at least 1 floor tom, 2 rack toms, a snare, a bass drum, high-hat, and either a crash or ride (or both if possible).
My price range is about 0-0.
