Busker Cajon Kit 2010.mov
Captain Bubble / Marcus de Mowbray. UK (Inventor/Craftsman/Musician) Prototype of my Busker Cajon Kit. A highly compact full drum kit plus a cajon which doubles as a stool, and into which the entire kit and its rug all fit for very easy transport. The cajon has four resonant panels for a wide range of tones, the “Busker” kit has a snare drum, three toms, a bass drum (which is built into the cajon and has a rod linkage connected to the foot pedal), a ride cymbal, cymbal bell, ten inch and six inch splash cymbals and ten inch hi-hats. The hi-hats are mounted in the centre, the other 4 cymbals are in stacked pairs on either side. This video briefly demonstrates the prototype, then there are several short clips of it in use playing along to CDs of different musical styles, giving an idea of how versatile this incredibly compact drum and percussion set up is. Furthermore the “Busker” range of drums has been painstakingly designed to be considerably quieter than other drum kits, making them suitable for all acoustic sessions. The sound quality is poor, but gives some idea of how it sounds.
Is this a good drum set for a beginner?
Hi,
I just took my first drum lessons yesterday, I did good, and I really like the drums. Obviously, I need to practice, so I want a drum set.

When I mean "good", I just mean if it is sturdy and will not break… I can see that they are cheap drum sets, so the sound quality might not be that great.
I want a drum set that are 0 or less if you want to give me a link.
Thanks!

MikeyVPT Electronic Drums 1
Here we have it! The BFD drum software, Alesis Trigger IO, and the RET Percussion Stealth kit. This is just a quick peak into what I’ve found the Virtual Percussion Technology package can do. I’m hoping to get more in depth with the functions of the BFD software, Alesis IO, and RET kit. If you want to see something specific, I’m sure I can either address it here, or for wider demand, in another video. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show! -mikey
Animusic 2 – Pipe Dream 2
Visit www.animusic.com if you’re interested in watching this amazing Animusic video, along with seven, fourteen, or more other Animusic videos, with much better picture and sound quality on DVD. Animusic is a computer animation company specializing in the visualization of MIDI-based music. This is a computer generated video showing metal balls flying out of pipes, making music by striking strange musical instruments, and flying back into the pipes. The instruments resemble a harpsichord, a banjo, bongo drums, a drum set, a vibraphone, tubular bells, and a marimba. At the drum set there’s a spinning thing with a splash cymbal, a hi-hat, a pair of wood blocks, and a cowbell. This is the sequel of “Animusic – Pipe Dream”.
Left Side Versatility With Electronic Drums
I have been playing Electronic drums since 1981. One of the things that I started doing almost from the very beginning was to re-assign sounds to pads where those sounds did not belong. Here I will show you some versatility that electronics have.
VPT Vlog 4 – Which Drum Software is THE BEST?!?!
Many people ask my opinion on what the best drum software on the market is… all I can say, is that it depends on what you need it for. This video should give you a clear understanding of where I stand on these titles. 1. EZdrummer (Practice, Quick Recording) I would recommend EZdrummer to anyone who needs something to sound great without spending lots of time with a learning curve. GREAT for beginners, yet still works GREAT for seasoned players. 2. DrumCore 2.5 (Practice, Nice Recording, Many Drum Samples) I use DrumCore with the idea that I’m using famous drum sets! Sly Dunbar, Lonnie Wilson, Zoro, Jonathan Moffett, Alan White, Matt Sorum etc. I’ve got they’re sound! 3. Addictive Drums (Live Use, Practice, Recording) Addictive Drums sounds amazing, loads faster than any other titles I use, and is extremely playable. It has so many fantastic and sometimes funny presets! Great job from XLN Audio. 4. Superior Drummer 2.0 (Live Use, Practice, Advanced Recording) Superior Drummer 2.0 takes the control you would find in mixing and mastering your acoustic kit, and gives it to you here, in this advanced software title. Great for just about anyone to use. 5. BFD2 (Live Use, Perfect Recording) I recommend BFD2 to the player looking for ultimate control over his/her drum sound. You get raw sound here. You also get more brand name drum sets and cymbals to choose from than most VPT software packs out there. I love all the VPT software that I use, so I can’t just use one! Thanks for …
Homemade Electronic Drum Kit:Coltronics Kit-e
This is my homemade electronic drum set. I call it the Coltronics Kit-e (“Kitty”). I made this video to show how I put it all together in case you might be thinking about making your own electronic drum kit. I came up with my own design. It started with a piezoelectric transducer soldered to a couple of wires and connected to a quarter inch phone jack. By trial-and-error, it morphed into what youre seeing in this video. Ive had it for a number of years but its held up well. Im pleased with its design. Its compact. It works well. It was relatively inexpensive to put together using materials that are fairly easy to obtain. So check out the video. I hope it gives you some ideas.

Where can i find a decent cheap drum set?
I am 13 and i am looking to buy a decent drum set. I’ve been in percussion for about 3 years and i have some some experience with a drum set from school. I’m looking to get more practice and would like to buy one. I am willing to spend no more than 0 (i know, i’m cheap). So i would like to get one but i can’t seem to find a decent one for a nice price. Preferably in the 180$ range. I just want a simple 5 piece set but it has to be big and durable enough for me.
Help I have a cheap drum set with problems!?
OK…
I have an Adam’s Percussion drum set from a random dude I found on Craigslist. When, I got the thing, it was practically new except it was dusty and a little dirty from being left in the garage. Now, 4 months into owning it, the hi hat’s edges are all wavy and dented and drooping down. My stupid crash/ride is inside out, and even after I bend it back it will return inside out after one hit. You can also see every hit I have ever done as a little scuff on the surface of the cymbal. But besides the fact that I need to get better cymbals, I have a few different questions:
1) Is it normal for cheap cymbals to get trashed this soon or am I hitting them to hard?
2) My top hi hat is coming undone and falling, but not from the thing holding it to the rod. Underneath, a nut keeps unscrewing itself when I play the hi hat open. Any suggestions?
3) How hard should you hit drums to avoid wrecking them?
4) What cymbals do you suggest for an aspiring rock drummer? I was thinking about Zildjian ZBTs
5) Do you think this description was way too long?
