Looks like Jesse Jackson is mad because Major League Baseball is questioning umpires if they are involved with the KKK.

What wrong with just asking? Good to see Jesse sticking up for Whites for once in his life, but don’t you think this is a waste of time? Jesse needs to start standing up for REAL injustices, not whether white umpires are questioned about their KKK background. There are plenty of injustices against whites and blacks that need to addressed. This not one of them. The duke rape case would have been a good issue, but Jesse was on the wrong side on that issue. What do you think?

cards #22 – No, but why would I care? If I’m on an interview, why would I care unless I’m being singled out. As long as everyone is being asked, it’s not a big deal.

My parents just came off of a baseball greats cruise, meaning that there were many of baseball’s greatest aboard.

The ball is a Rawlings, leather cover, 5 oz, 9 in, and has the MLB batter shadow on it.

It has 5 autographs, Rick Burleson, Cookie Rojas, Andre Dawson, Gary Peters (underneath he printed 1963 AL ROT), and Stan Bahnsen.

My question is how much this ball is going to be worth in a couple of years, and should I get a case for it tomorrow. I’ve never had a ball like this before.

When Joe Madden arrived at Hazleton, PA this winter, I was one of the many who were at the Castle to welcome him. I’m not sure if it was good enough to make it to ESPN.

After all of the propoganda was complete, he begun to sign autographs for people. Well, I went up to get his autograph like everyone else and he signed one of my Baseballs.

I hope that the used little league Baseball, wont depriciate the value of the signature. It’s not filthy, but there is some dirt on it. It’s not an MLB on and it’s not in case. But, his signature is on it and that’s all that matters.

So, how much is it worth? I’m not going to sell it or anything. Well, not until he makes it into the Baseball Hall of Fame or until I have kids and they are grown up. Then it’ll probably be worth more if he gets indited.

Hi I am an MLB baseball collector. I like the plain white baseballs with just the team logos on the front and the Rawlings brand stamp on the back. I wanted to know if anyone knew what the official colour or shade of white the "baseball white" they use for all of basballs. I have a little rubber mark on one I have cased and I wanted to buy a small can of paint and dab a dot or two out…yes I am very hardcore about it lol but I appreciate anyones help.

The dropping of baseball from the Olympics has damaged the development of baseball around the world since the Olympic committees of many major countries like China are not financially supporting baseball any longer (could imagine the MLB TV ratings in China 10 years from now in case baseball was a very popular sport there?). However, it seems that baseball was dropped from the Olympics mainly because MLB clubs would not allow its top players to take part of the games.

Do you think MLB made a mistake by not fully committing to send its top players to the Olympics?

I’m looking at Baseball Mogul. I had that years ago and didn’t like it because it didn’t have a MLB Players Union endorsement (fake names). Is that still the case? Is there something better than Mogul?

I jog with a mini-baseball bat and I was just wondering if it is a crime. I actually carry it in case a criminal or animal attempts to attack. Can I get in trouble for this? The baseball bat is about 1/3 of an actual MLB slugger. It’s a Louisville Slugger so it still is sturdy.

About Fantasy Baseball: Is there a site you can go to so you can check all the MLB rosters so you can make sure your player is on it for that specific night? And that’s updated in case a player is taken off at the last minute or what not

I was reading John Kruk’s article on ESPN this morning and he was trying to make a case for Cano to bat 3rd, but I just can’t see that happening with Tex and A-Rod on the team for the next 7 or so years.

why do million dollar MLB players wear those stupid chains around their necks? dont they know they look ridiculous? I’ve heard its for endurance but if thats the case, why dosent everybody in the entire world wear them?

I’m so sick of congress getting in to steriods and spy gate. Why don’t they let the MLB and NFL handle all of that stuff. They have the war, taxes, and huge cases and they worry about cheating in baseball and football come on!
Well MLB should find a way to handle steriod cases them selves and i’m talking about in football congress might get involved with spygate.

What happens when a batter is unable to complete his "at bat/plate appearance?’ Let’s say during a batter’s at bat, he swings at a pitch and injures his shoulder. He is unable to continue batting and has to leave the game. Is he automatically called "out?" Or can a replacement/pinch hitter finish the at bat. And if so, I’m assuming that the pitch count would continue where it had left off, i.e: 1 ball-1strike, 2 balls-2 strikes, etc…. But if that’s the case, who gets charged if that "at bat" ends up with a strike out? Cause when pitchers are relieved in the middle of an at bat, it depends on what the pitch count was. Would that also be the case in this scenario? I’ve tried to look it up in the MLB Rules Book but was unable to find it.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t know why ESPN shows so much Little League World Series (LLWS). I think it’s boring to watch a ton of games being played by 11 year olds. If I wanted to go watch kids play baseball, I would just go to any park on the weekend and watch a little league game. I realize that these are all-star teams or in some cases, the country’s best little leaguers, but at the end of the day, they are still just kids. I’m not trying to knock the kids because I’m sure they’re really talented, but so are the women in the WNBA, but that doesn’t mean it’s fun to watch.

I don’t understand why they don’t just show an MLB day game instead. Especially considering that the MLB season is beginning to heat up around this time of year with a lot of close divisional races. I’m just curious, do you watch the LLWS on ESPN? If so, why do you watch it? Do you prefer ESPN show these games instead of other sports being played by adults?
Some of you guys made a very good point by saying that kids like watching other kids play ball. I suppose if I were 11 years old, I would have more interest in watching.

As for those who suggested I just turn the channel… Well, that’s exactly what I do, but that’s besides the point. I remember when I was a kid, they would show the championship LLWS game between the top US team and another country’s top team. Now days, ESPN shows nonstop LLWS for a couple of weeks or longer. I don’t have a problem with them showing the final game, but do we have to have LLWS marathon everyday on ESPN?

i am a big baseball fan and from time to time i like to go out to get autographs from players. however i recently noticed that some of my older autographed baseballs (about 3 years) have started developing brown spots on them. i have no idea how they got there and i keep all my baseballs in a ball case and never take them out. please tell me how i may prevent my baseballs from getting aging spots or how to get rid of the spots i already have. By the way all the baseballs that are autographed are the official game balls used in the MLB. Please help!

With all the steroids and the fact everyone is out for money, is it even fun to watch anymore? more cases than not, its always the same teams. Yankees, Red Sox, and all the other teams who actually spend money to get good players. The Richest MLB owner is not the yankees, its the royal’s, and we know how much they suck. they are doing ok, but still bad. With all the steroids and money being involved, is it fun anymore? I say no
