Roland TD4 Drum Kit Demo – Nevada Music UK
www.nevadamusic.co.uk Check out some of the sounds and features of the Roland new TD4k electronic drum kit. The Roland TD4K V-Drum Kit takes over where the TD-3 left off except that the TD-4 has a host of new features and four times the wave memory of its predecessor … There’s also a new re-enforced drum stand that’s still just as lightweight and compact but now a whole lot stronger, aside from the new stand Roland have supplemented the TD-4 with a centre mounted sound module that contains new sounds and sensors within the pads that have an even greater degree of touch sensitivity … The snare pad has a patented mesh head for improved feel and resonance, whilst the toms and cymbals are velocity sensitive with the cymbals also having a “choke” capability. The TD4K is also expandable to include an optional pad or if preferred the user can replace the ride cymbal to a CY-12R/C 3-way trigger V-Cymbal, the kit is also compatible with the optional VH-11 V-Hi-Hat which can be mounted on a conventional hi-hat stand. Pre-programmed kit patches can be customised by the ability to tune and dampen each drum to the user’s own preference whilst ambient effects such as reverb can also be controlled to suit the occasion. To improve your playing skills Roland have also included their acclaimed Coach Mode which tests and trains drumming skills such as timing, accuracy and stamina. The Coach programme offers a diverse range of drumming excercises that can run for 5, 10 or 15 minutes and …

Here we have it! The BFD drum software, Alesis Trigger IO, and the RET Percussion Stealth kit. This is just a quick peak into what I’ve found the Virtual Percussion Technology package can do. I’m hoping to get more in depth with the functions of the BFD software, Alesis IO, and RET kit. If you want to see something specific, I’m sure I can either address it here, or for wider demand, in another video. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show! -mikey

VPT Vlog 4 – Which Drum Software is THE BEST?!?!
Many people ask my opinion on what the best drum software on the market is… all I can say, is that it depends on what you need it for. This video should give you a clear understanding of where I stand on these titles. 1. EZdrummer (Practice, Quick Recording) I would recommend EZdrummer to anyone who needs something to sound great without spending lots of time with a learning curve. GREAT for beginners, yet still works GREAT for seasoned players. 2. DrumCore 2.5 (Practice, Nice Recording, Many Drum Samples) I use DrumCore with the idea that I’m using famous drum sets! Sly Dunbar, Lonnie Wilson, Zoro, Jonathan Moffett, Alan White, Matt Sorum etc. I’ve got they’re sound! 3. Addictive Drums (Live Use, Practice, Recording) Addictive Drums sounds amazing, loads faster than any other titles I use, and is extremely playable. It has so many fantastic and sometimes funny presets! Great job from XLN Audio. 4. Superior Drummer 2.0 (Live Use, Practice, Advanced Recording) Superior Drummer 2.0 takes the control you would find in mixing and mastering your acoustic kit, and gives it to you here, in this advanced software title. Great for just about anyone to use. 5. BFD2 (Live Use, Perfect Recording) I recommend BFD2 to the player looking for ultimate control over his/her drum sound. You get raw sound here. You also get more brand name drum sets and cymbals to choose from than most VPT software packs out there. I love all the VPT software that I use, so I can’t just use one! Thanks for …

Homemade Electronic Drum Kit:Coltronics Kit-e
This is my homemade electronic drum set. I call it the Coltronics Kit-e (“Kitty”). I made this video to show how I put it all together in case you might be thinking about making your own electronic drum kit. I came up with my own design. It started with a piezoelectric transducer soldered to a couple of wires and connected to a quarter inch phone jack. By trial-and-error, it morphed into what youre seeing in this video. Ive had it for a number of years but its held up well. Im pleased with its design. Its compact. It works well. It was relatively inexpensive to put together using materials that are fairly easy to obtain. So check out the video. I hope it gives you some ideas.

Testing double bass on electric drum set
Edit: 20000 view?! Crazy An older video I found on my computer of me testing a double bass pedal on my cheap (originally an iED01) electric drum set. *I wasn’t TRYING to play anything impressive for all you harsh youtube critics. I was just testing out the double bass addition. If you saw what this set looked like originally, you would understand. This was originally part of two broken Ion iED01 electronic drum kits that I put together to make a very cheap drum set (after switching around some stuff).
OSP DD502 Electronic Drum Set Mesh Heads
In this video I show you how to replace the heads on my OSP DD502 electronic drumset with mesh heads. The guy who sold them to me seems to have disappeared and is no longer selling them. However, I found some more of these for sale at the following link: cgi.ebay.com These mesh heads feel much better than the original heads and they are much quieter too. I recommend these heads to anyone who is considering purchasing one of these drumkits. ~Vince
