Is a Groove Percussion PVT16 a good drum set for a beginner?Because my friend needs a good,but cheap drum set,and this 1 is about 0.And it comes with a pair of 14" hi-hats,1 16" crash/ride cymbal,all hardware,throne,and 3 cast cymbals.The kick drum is 16" x22",the toms are 12" & 13",the floor tom is 16" by 16",and the snare is 5.5" x14".It includes double braced hardware,custom spurs,and new modern style lugs.Im not much of a drummer,but do you think its a good deal?Thanx so much! =D

I am a beginner drummer and I am looking for a good set. I was looking for a five piece kit for under 0 and I found a nice looking Mendini. Is this just cheap because it sucks, or would this be a good set for a beginner?

I’m a drummer in a band in college… I have a nice drum kit that I used to gig with at home but I don’t want to bring it to the city and risk having it get stolen or broken, but I need a set to play gigs here in the city with.

What’s a good drum set (I don’t mind used because it’s already beaten up) that will sound good but isn’t too expensive (like 0-0) and I can just throw around and won’t have to worry about at much? I don’t need cymbals or even hardware really.
I play pop rock, my current set at home is a Yamaha Stage Custom Advantage

The Mozambique is a marriage of African and Cuban rhythms, instruments and cultures. It has been adapted to the drum set and Western pop music numerous ways. One track of reference might be Steve Gadd’s performance on the Paul Simon song, Late In The Evening. This video demonstrates how the sticking pattern may be applied to the drum set as a solo motif. It was recorded on the Cher stage at Caesar’s Palace with my Canon digital camera taped to a mic stand on top of a bar stool. It was then edited using iMovie, so the production quality leaves much to be desired, but I hope you find the content informative.

I am a non experienced drummer and plan on buying a good drum set for starters. Something that does not cost much money.

This is a follow-up to the Quarter Note Placement Exercise. This one recognizes the space between the quarter notes and systematically gets you playing on and in-between notes of a straight-time constant and then applies this concept to “Rock” style playing. 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + yeah!

I have a Pearl Ex, I just bought it and it is good, has good hardware(for the price) and everything but i think i need to replace the skins what type should i get? I play worship songs(as in church!) gospel, stuff like that. And how the heck to tune? i have tried and tried, i have gotten a few tips but dang wont work!! Give me any tips u have, i play drums in church but they are electric soo yeaa its purtyy different! so please just give me any tips you have for a drummer and his new begginer drum set! how to get the best sound for less(cheaper)! and how can i lower the volume without playing softer? and not waisting much money? neighbors are, yeahh! ohh and i have the ugliest bass sound, sum1 just help me plzz.

im thinking of buying the ludwig white element set with an extra bass drumm and a couple of stands for 9.00 its cheap but its made out of poplar and birch i so do u think i should get it or do u prefer something better im anadvanced drummer looking for a nice classic rock sound drumset i now have a tama swingstar and a roland electric kit i have heard that ludwig toms are a pain and tht u cant place ur toms anywhere like tamas ussually can

okay, so, me and a friend are planign on starting a band, one we don’t know what we want to play yet, we where thinking rock, but open to other ideas, two i have a delima, i don’t know what i should play, i play guitar now, not all that well, but i do rythum and beat, i basicly play bass stuff on my guitar, but i don’t know if i should buy a drum set and be the drummer for our band, or if i should go and buy a bass and be the bassist for the band, right now im thinking bassist, becasue i will probly be lead vocals to, and that combanation is just soo cool!, a bassist singing!, but i do have the most experience with purcussion, and im learning the guitar, so what should i play!?!?!, also we wanted to incorperate some new wave type of stuff, for example i was thinking cello, but get a cheap one, and mount pick ups on it, and replace the gut strings with soem gaint steel ones, so it would be an electric cello, good idea bad? and do you think the cello would retain any of its sound qualities if i elctrofitted it?, i know i asked a ot of questions, but it would be cool if you answered any one of them, well thanks for reading!
