I’m looking to get a custom drum set and looking too spend under 0. I don’t have a ton of money and please dont tell me to spend more and go to like SJC, TRUTH, SHINE, etc. because of tried that its way to expensive.

Do I buy an expensive drum set or a cheap drum set? Would pearl be a good brand to go with?

I live in an apartment and i have an acoustic drum set is there a cheap way to sound proof my room?

I really want to learn how to play the drums but i’ve never tried it. I don’t want to shell out alot of money for something that i might not be good at. So should i buy a cheap drum set, or should i get practice pads and go from there?

I have played drums for two years(no lessons) with a very cheap drum set and I am ready for a new one since the other is embarrasing right now. I would say if you heard me i would be close to entering the intermediate range but I have no experience with getting drums sets. I found a Pearl EXR Export set at a guitar center that has been discounted majorly to about 500$ and I have heard a lot of good things about it but I’m scared of getting another crappy beginner set that wont last long. I just have a feeling its much better than that though. I was also recommended the Mapex M Birch which I don’t think sounds as good but it is supposably higher quality. Any suggestions? Prefferably under 1000$ Cymbals are another story so it doesnt have to include them unless they are good ones for a cheap price. Thank you.

When I mean "good", I just mean if it is sturdy and will not break… I can see that they are cheap drum sets, so the sound quality might not be that great.

I want a drum set that are 0 or less if you want to give me a link.

im looking for a good cheap drum set that is good i don’t need much just like a snare two-3 toms a base a high hat a crash/2 crash and 1/2 rides, but it needs to be good, used or new, and like 800 bucks or less, just if you know the name of a good brand or are selling some or something.

This is a piece I wrote for my senior percussion recital. I wanted to write something for my recital, and the last available instrument to write for was drum set. I took clips (or fragments) of songs that have inspired me to play drum set from my younger years through today and pieced them together. Sometimes the fragment may only be a 1 bar drum fill, but for the most part, a recognizable excerpt is given. There are a total of 18 fragments representing 17 different artists. He played the drums last year in band and loves it. Someone told me not to buy the set that Walmart has, that they are cheap drums and the sound quality is poor. What should I look for in a drum set? What makes a good one?
