Baseball Card Collection : How to Sell Thousands?

Hello,
I work for a charitable organization in San Jose, California.
Someone donated literally (literally) 10’s of thousands if baseball cards to us.

All were well taken care of, with most in plastic sleeves, some in a hard plastic case, several unopened "packs", and some loose, but in storage boxes.

I am not a card expert, and to research and catalog every single card would take months, if that was ALL that I did.
Does anyone know if there is a way to sell these in bulk, or if there are appraisers who would visit in person to appraise and perhaps buy the entire lot?

I don’t want to get ripped off, but then again, as I inferred, getting a copy of "Becketts" then sitting down and calculating each card’s worth isn’t an option either.
Please, no generic answers such as "list them on e-bay/craigslist".

Thanks for any help :)

Good sources for baseball cards?

Does anyone have a reliable source to find baseball cards? I’m trying to add to my collection. I’m especially looking for a 1993 Topps Derek Jeter Rookie Card as well as a Tim Lincecum (2008 or 2009)
Also is there somewhere I can get a mass amount of baseball cards for cheap? I’m just starting out collecting

In case anyone actually cares, I just inherited a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle rookie card, my parents want me to sell it, but my grandpa loved it, so I’ll keep it as my prized possession. (its not in great shape incase anyone wanted to know)
So thats why I want to start, to add to that one card.

What is the best way to store sports cards?

I have a collection of my dads old football and baseball cards from the 70’s, and I would like to know if the pages are the most effective protector, taking into account I don’t want to put them in a box and shove them away for the next 30 years, or are the individual top loader card sleeve cases the best?

Baseball and football cards?? help please?

About how much are these Baseball Cards worth?

I have 10 Baseball cards from the 1975 Detroit Tigers and i am wondering how much they could be worth and they all have cases. I have:

One 1975 Ben Oglivie
One 1975 Nate Colbert
One 1975 Lerrin LaGrow
Two 1975 Luke Walker
One 1975 Woodie Fryman
One 1975 Gary Sutherland
One 1975 Jerry Moses
One 1975 John Knox
One 1975 Ed Brinkman

Ok, so if you could give me a rough estimate of what they might be worth that would be nice. I know it is hard to give a good estimate online, so thanks for trying.

Can someone PLEASE tell me the value of these baseball cards? Are they valuable?

My husband has been put into a nursing home, and I found boxes and boxes full of mostly all baseball cards that I did not know he had. There’s thousands of them. I’m assuming some of them may be very valuable, and I’m wondering if anyone can give me an idea of how much they may be worth. I pulled out seven that are in cases, and they look like they are in mint condition. I know nothing about baseball cards, or any type of sports cards for the matter, but this is what the front of the cards say.

‘93 Fleer Ultra, Barry Bonds, Top Glove.

1993 Upper Deck, Nolan Ryan, "The Express’ Last Run".

Classic Baseball, Ken Griffey, Jr. (1988).

‘92 Fleer Ultra, Ken Griffey, Jr., Seattle Mariners, Outfield.

Score Gold Rush, Frank Thomas, Chicago White Sox (1993).

Dodgers, O-Pee-Chee, Mike Piazza, Catcher (1993).

Skybox, Chicago Bulls, Michael Jordan (1990)

If anyone could give me some information on these cards and how much they could be worth, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Thanks for all of the answers given so far. A friend of mine recommended putting them away for when my daughter has kids and her kids have kids. He said they may be quite valueable then. Once again, thank you for the helpful answers.

Topps 1987 Bubble gum baseball cards – worth more in packaging or opened?

My husband and I were at an antique store just for fun to see what was in there and he found a small box full of 1987 Topps bubble gum baseball cards packs, all still in the original packaging and with the bubble gum still in them. So we bought all 30 little packages they had. Our argument is whether or not it would be worth more to open them and carefully put the cards in protective cases or to leave them as is, unopened and in the packages.
