Ok I went to court today and I had a stupid curfew charge from a year ago and the judge wanted to check up on me. So he saw my trespassing charge. (my two friends and I went to a old run down hotel that has black mold in it and stuff like that and people have vandalized it or partied in it many of times according to the cops. But we went in their and broke glass with a baseball bat and when we came out there were cops and they made us get in hand cuffs because of the bat. Which I understand. But I was only charged with trespassing that’s it. And I was told that the building has been for closed and they have had cases involving the building before and the owner does not even show fo anything.) But at court today the judge asked me if I knew how many years you can get for trespassing and he told me up to 12 months. And he told me I need a lawyer and to take this serious which i am and you always need a lawyer for any case in court. This is my second thing on my record and I just turned 18 and don’t plan to screw up or anything. The judge moved the curfew violation to that date to so I have both charges on that day.The judge said I better not screw up from now to the time of my court date. and he said he do sent want me to blow my life. My mom said he was scarring me with telling me I can go to jail for trespassing. I’m guessing you can but my record is not a mile long and I’m not a kid who gets in trouble really. I just did a stupid thing with my friends not thinking. But I wanted to ask if you think I will get any jail time. I was told its very highly unlikely and what do you think I will get or happen. Thank you for your answers. And you don’t have to bash me on here i’m just looking for some help I know I did something stupid and I have changed my life alot ever since I got into trouble but thank you anyways. And what are some things I could do to show the judge or court i am not a screw up because they don’t know that they get kids all the time for things. (Virgina state court law)

A man goes into an old womans house and acts like he puts her dog in a pillow case and beats it with a baseball bat which causes her to have a heart attack and die?

With handguns and baseball bats, South Florida residents in recent days have been striking back at home invaders, beating and even killing those who violate the sanctity of their homes.

Two cases occurred in Palm Beach County. Thursday night, during a struggle, a Wellington homeowner shot and wounded one of two men who broke into his home. On Sept. 5, a group of men in a Lake Worth home turned the tables on a burglar, seizing his baseball bat and using it to break his arm.

And early Thursday in Miami, a man who jumped a fence and entered a home’s yard ended up dead after a confrontation with the father and son who lived there. His manner of death has not been released by police, who still are investigating.

Such instances are hardly a trend, experts say, but rather a fluke of circumstances. And they probably don’t represent an increase in frustrated homeowners fighting back.

"You have to look at each case individually," said George L. Kirkham, a criminologist at Florida State University. "There’s a lot of tension right now in people’s lives generally because of the economy. I don’t know to what extent those kinds of factors may play into it."

Use of deadly force against intruders is allowed under Florida law.

If you were to impress a coin onto some spent chewing gum, the resulting impression would be a mutual product of the composition of the coin and the composition of the gum, right? If you didn’t know what a coin was, and were handed this spent piece of chewing gum, what would you be able to tell about the nature of the actual object of the impression? Our pictures of reality are the same – skewed representations. There is no way for things to exist from their own side in the way that we perceive them to. Those with thoughts of useful and beneficial applicability, like scientists, artists, mathematicians, etc., have brains like gum that holds it’s shape better than most, conforming to a clearer image of reality. Still, they’ll never be able to see anything "fresh" – as it really exists.
When we consider a baseball bat to be a "baseball bat", we do so based on our own criteria – to be able to swing and hit a baseball with it. If we were, say, snakes, it probably wouldn’t be perceived as a "baseball bat", more likely it would be considered some kind of log. Therefore, identity is merely heuristic. What’s interesting is that we go through life as if this weren’t the case. I bet if we didn’t we wouldn’t be so full of ourselves!

Clearly indicate that children’s involvement of video games takes a drastic twist into their lives. By the age of 12, the average child has been exposed to a massive amount of gang violence, sexism, and drug abuse due to video games; therefore, video games should be censored.
According to Jack Thompson, in the game Grand Theft Auto (GTA), "Lynch’s favorite way to kill in the game was to beat victims with a baseball bat because you get more points for killing at close range"(2). Also, gang violence is exposed in this game Grand Theft Auto (GTA), which involves stealing cars from different individuals, another devastating crime. Thompson goes on to say that Lynch is called "zombified" while he is playing this obsessive game. (2). On September 24, 2003, an incident involving a 15 year old boy, who shot two of his classmates, killing one and critically wounding another. According to his neighbors with whom Jack have spoken to, the 15-year old played Grand Theft Auto Vice City constantly. A recent Gallup Poll found that 71 percent of all teen-age boys have played the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) games, and Gallup found that they are twice as likely to engage in acts of violence as those who have not played that game. The Entertainment Software Association rating board has rated Grand Theft Auto San Andreas on the PlayStation 2 system as Mature or “M”, which has content that is intended for people aged 17 and older, and may contain sexual themes and intense violence or language. As recognize, younger males under the age of 17 are getting a hold of rated “M”, games and are looking for a intensive battle. According to Grossman, he indicates, “Now, 16 million kids supposedly have access to guns.” There was another case involving, “a 14 year old who had never fired a gun before in his life takes a .22 caliber pistol to school and fires eight shots. He got eight hits on eight different children; five of them head shots, the other three upper torso. He had played those video games over and over again and had become a master killer.” Games like (GTA), 007, and Halo have influenced school deadly massacres two examples are the, “Columbine” and “Virginia Tech.”
The idea about sexism in video games is very disturbing which has led young males to grow up being abusive towards their female companion. Video games might often lead a male to face jail time, which is nothing pleasant. In Grand Theft Auto games most females dress with skimpy clothes and are referred as “hoes.” With certain codes in the game (GTA) you either can undress females or receive sexual favors. When we look at (GTA), the man with the flowered shirt goes on a rampage killing spree, and there are scenes of strip clubs that are shown. Teens should not be able to visualize certain material such as pornography. Teens come across with video games that involve with a great deal of killing, fighting, and special abilities, which is all performed by a male. Due to sexism in video games, Grossman indicates that, “Now in these mass murders we have seen, usually the child is out to kill their girlfriend. Very often, the first victim…has been a girlfriend.” It is usually found that in video games such as Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, etc. the male characters have greater power while the female characters prove to be weaker. Sexism is a really delicate subject that is worth the time to speak about, for example, whether it is princess or an innocent female by standard. The violence is often brutal and degrading to women. In the game "Duke Nukem," for instance, a player can enter a room with naked women saying "Kill me," while tied to posts. In the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) series, one of the most popular and also most violent and controversial of the games, a player is rewarded if he has sex with a prostitute.
"Parents perceive age ratings as a guide but not as a definite prohibition," said Freund. "Some may have not liked the content but they did not prohibit the game." "Most parents think their child is mature enough so that these games will not influence them," said Jurgen Freund, chief executive with the Swiss research firm Modulum. According to Freund, “While the debate is likely to continue on a large scale in years to come (California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger recently signed into law Assembly Bill 1179, which prohibits selling or renting violent video games to Californians under 18), one thing’s for sure is that kids will continue to be drawn to these types of games, if for no other reason than because they’re not supposed to have them. "We called it Magic 18," said Freund. "The 18+ label was seen as promoting the content, promising adult content rather than saying ‘my parents will stop me playing this." These games are almost like an over the counter drug, whether it is cough medicine or Tylenol.

Okay I am a 14 yr old female, and my neighbour is a 40 yr old man, so to cut along story short I am pretty sure he is a pedophile. He always says im pretty and asks about boyfriends and alot of another inappropriate stuff which I shouldn’t mention, anyway I am pretty sure he has made a fake account on facebook pretending to be a girl my age, I have alot of reasons why I suspect this. The girl that I think is my neighbour wants to meet alone tomorrow night at the lake near my house, should I go to confirm its him so I can call the police? I am getting my sister to come with me and she will bring a baseball bat in case anything goes wrong.

my moms boyfriend just got out of jail yesterday. hes been in & out
of jail his whole life, he’s been in there for EVERYTHING;; except
murder. sometimes i think my mom puts it on herself. she starts
little fights for his attention, and then he eventually beats her. her last
boyfriend killed her, but i seen it fast enough & the EMT brought her back to life. ive been thru counseling & everything. nothing works. i go to cyber
school so i cant go to my guidence counseler… im sick of seeing

I’m asking the question that the media isn’t. This guy got hit by a pitch, which is a common occurance in baseball, and all of the sudden he snaps and goes after the pitcher with a baseball bat? Sounds like Offerman was on steroids! When was his last test?! Oh wait, he couldn’t possibly had a case of Roid-Rage because it didn’t happen over the course of three days (sense the sarcasim with that statement folk).
If you read what I wrote above, I’m being very sarcastic since everyone is blamming everything on steroids (the Benoit tragedy, Bonds HRs, and so on)
