Where can i find a cheap drum set…. like ish dollars??

Besides ebay & stuff… shipping is way too expensive. =)

I’m starting a band with some friends, and we need a drum set… we’re not professionals so it doesn’t have to be great. =)

any ideas, or do you have one?? lol

Is a Groove Percussion PVT16 a good drum set for a beginner?Because my friend needs a good,but cheap drum set,and this 1 is about 0.And it comes with a pair of 14" hi-hats,1 16" crash/ride cymbal,all hardware,throne,and 3 cast cymbals.The kick drum is 16" x22",the toms are 12" & 13",the floor tom is 16" by 16",and the snare is 5.5" x14".It includes double braced hardware,custom spurs,and new modern style lugs.Im not much of a drummer,but do you think its a good deal?Thanx so much! =D

Looks like Jesse Jackson is mad because Major League Baseball is questioning umpires if they are involved with the KKK.

What wrong with just asking? Good to see Jesse sticking up for Whites for once in his life, but don’t you think this is a waste of time? Jesse needs to start standing up for REAL injustices, not whether white umpires are questioned about their KKK background. There are plenty of injustices against whites and blacks that need to addressed. This not one of them. The duke rape case would have been a good issue, but Jesse was on the wrong side on that issue. What do you think?

cards #22 – No, but why would I care? If I’m on an interview, why would I care unless I’m being singled out. As long as everyone is being asked, it’s not a big deal.

I guess this is a "moneyball" or "sabermetric" issue if you want to call it that but if the purpose of winning a game is to score more runs than other team & that RBI & runs scored are the two most simple measurement of this and how many runs a player helped produce, how come BA and HR continue to be viewed as the most imporant statistics about a player’s offensive production? The "moneyball" theory first practiced by the Oakland A’s has come a long way in changing GM’s ideas about how to value players by recognizing categories like on base %, total bases, etc. & the importance of avoiding making an out at your plate appearance rather than necessarily whether you hit a HR or a single, I know HRs fill seats but I think players like Rickey Henderson who is in the top 3 career leaders in baseball in runs scored tend to be less revered in baseball history than a pure slugger with no speed. Do you agree that it _is_ this case that BA & HR are overemphasized and if so why is this?

Me & my 8 month old are going to a baseball game today were it will be high of 77. I’m hoping not to be directly in the sun but just in case I am what kind of sunblock can a 8 month old wear cause he hasent wore any yet?

I am 30 years old. Have been generally healthy throughout my life. But ever since I had my tubes tied I have developed multiple symptoms that seemed benign at first but with time became a bit alarming. I don’t know if these symptoms are connected to a single disorder or disease or if they point to a couple different illnesses but I would like a doctor or nurse’s opinion before I actually commit to going in for an exam.

First the physical symptoms:
-I am thirsty almost all the time. I drink upwards of a gallon of water or tea a day.
-(this may be a DUH kind of thing but) I go to the bathroom a lot more than I used to. Sometimes 10-15 times a day and I always have substantial urine "output".
-I have a lot of trouble getting to sleep at night. I can lie awake for hours and hours trying to sleep but finally at around 3am fall asleep from exhaustion. Unisom and other over the counter sleep aids do not help for long. A few days at the most.
-Once I get to sleep I sleep way too much. I only allow myself 10 hours at the most but if left to my own devices, I would probably sleep for 15-18 hours.
-I have hardly any appetite. I have to force myself to eat. When I do eat it is stuff that is fairly healthy but not like "nuts & berries" healthy.
-Bowel problems. Bloating, gas, tender abdomen, sometimes diarrhea or constipation.
-I get headaches and shoulder pain fairly often. Maybe once or twice a week, either one or the other. Sometimes both at once.
-The lower back pain has been a part of my life since my second pregnancy, but since it is a symptom I thought I would include it.

Now for the emotional symptoms:
-I feel like I am in a crowded room sometime and everybody is sucking all the good air up. Claustrophobic or emetophobic, take your pick.
-Fits of crying or anger. Sometimes I will be ok one minutes then the next I think about something and I can start to cry and don’t know how to stop. It takes for my husband to make me lie down and him rub my back. About 10-15 minutes of this before I calm down, then the weird thing is, after that I am fine. Like it never happened. Or I get angry, very very very angry. To the point of breaking things. I have a special place in my back yard where I go in these cases. Where I have a baseball bat, some old plates or dishes. pieces of old furniture that I can go back there and go to town on beating things to pieces. I call it my "anger management zone" or AMZ. That sometimes makes me feel better but a lot of times I can’t go back there because the neighbors will complain. During the day they don’t care but after a certain time I can’t go back there. So that leave me steaming and having to find a different way to process these feelings. Usually by yelling but that gets a bit strenuous on my throat after a while.

There may be more that I may not have noticed by that’s what has startled me a bit. Can anyone with a medical background please tell me if these warrant a trip to the doctor, or do I just have to deal with them as best I can? If I do need to see a doctor what kind of doctor do I need? And if you can please give me an idea of what I am dealing with?

My 12 year old son plays in little league. He wears his lefty baseball glove with the pointer finger sticking out of the outside of the glove. But he does something I never saw anyone else do. He places his pinky finger & ring finger together in the pinky finger of the glove, thereby leaving the pointer finger & middle finger positions of the glove without any fingers taking up their spaces. As a concerned parent, I wanted to ask him if this is first of all, a safe thing to do, in case he catches a very fast baseball, and second of all, if it can cause any harm to his hand with the fingers being so awkward? My son claims it is more comfortable for him to wear the glove in this manner & that he has better control of catching the ball in this way & that he always had been doing it this way. I didn’t notice he was doing this until today when I bought him a new glove and he complained that the lace at the pinky area was rubbing against his pinky but he said it was more comfortable for him.

my moms boyfriend just got out of jail yesterday. hes been in & out
of jail his whole life, he’s been in there for EVERYTHING;; except
murder. sometimes i think my mom puts it on herself. she starts
little fights for his attention, and then he eventually beats her. her last
boyfriend killed her, but i seen it fast enough & the EMT brought her back to life. ive been thru counseling & everything. nothing works. i go to cyber
school so i cant go to my guidence counseler… im sick of seeing
this everyday. he is eventually going to kill her. & prolly right in front
of me and my 13 yr old sis. actually my sister went to bed w/ a
baseball bat just in case — NO KID SHOULD HAVE TO GO THRU THAT

i tried talking to her & everything. she said its her life & she will live
it how she wants. she doesnt care that me and my sis have to see
her get abused, him smokin drugs in our house, and him selling crack
right in front of our eyes/ can someone help me before something bad happends.

I’m not a Bonds fan or supporter but, who in their right mind would basically destroy a piece of sports history. If Bonds did use steroids it still is a major acheivment to get 756 (762 and counting) home runs in a career. Marc Ecko is no fan of baseball (he’s a fashion designer) if he could destroy that ball and the fans that voted to put an asterisk on the ball are not fans either. If I could have bought the ball I would have it in protective case on display in my house right now never to be touched again. Barry Bonds should create a website for real baseball fans to vote to leave Marc Ecko alone or tie him up and sit him on home plate at AT&T Park and let Bonds take a few swings at his head it might knock some since in him.

Case in point. Michael Kay Announced the Player of the game in the bottom of the 8th. And what happens? Mark Teixeira ties the game with a bases loaded clearing double. This has happened a few times already & it makes the Announcers look so dumb. Wait till the game is over like they used to do.

I’m looking into buying a cheap beginner’s drum set and I was looking on eBay. Is this a good drum set for somebody who is a beginner and not looking to spend too much money?

My brother bought a cheap bass guitar online and I went out to pick up an amp for it (Fender Rumble 15), and since the bass is so crappy, I decided to switch to drums. I am going to buy the Simmons SD7K Drum set, and I was wondering if I need to buy a whole other monitor/amp for it, or can I somehow connect it to the amp I have.

I just need the basics. I have an electric set at home, but I need an acoustic set so my friends and I can start playing. Any suggestions?
My electric set sounds horrid with a amp.
